Dr. P K Suresh was employed in the Institute of water studies from 1989-1993 and worked in the field of Water resources Management. Later as part of the Institute of Hydraulics & Hydrology from 1993-2011 he was engaged in the field of Hydraulics and Coastal engg model studies (Physical and Numerical model). From 2011-2013 he was working for TN-IAMWARM world bank project. The activities include hydrology, water awareness, environment awareness and participation of stakeholders namely farmers and got voluntary retirement on 31-05-2013
